Pakistani Cricket.
Cricket is a favorite sports around the world and is the most watch sports. Although now a days young generation is converting physical games to digital Erna games which is quite bad for their mental and physical health. But the large number Pakistani society play cricket and in our country cricket is played to street level and every age person in country love this sports.
As Cricket has various formats, it has a different fan base for each of them. Some people like watching test matches because of their intensity and authenticity. While some enjoy T-20, that require minimum engagement and are highly entertaining. Test Match is a format of cricket that is quite traditional. But I like T-20 format because it quite fast in nerve game.
Despite Hockey being the national sport of the country, it is cricket which rules over the hearts of the citizens. It creates a lot of excitement and frenzy amongst the fans of the game . It is the most-watched sport in Pakistan and people even miss their schools and offices when any major international match is happening. Cricket in various formats is enjoyed by people all over the world as well. Even business tycoons are now investing in the game to cash in on the popularity and example for that is PSL that have now became the most powerful and entertained event of Pakistan.
It is safe to say that cricket is not merely a sport but an emotion in our country. It makes people come together for good. It also strengthens our relationship with other countries and maintains the sportsman spirit.
In world ICC is the organization that organize and manage the international cricket. The International Cricket Council (ICC) governs matches globally whereas the rules of the game are laid down in a code called Laws of Cricket. The biggest achievement ever for the Pakistan Cricket Team has been the successful World Cup Campaign of 1992 in which Pakistan became the World Champions for the first time in the history of International Cricket. The team led by Imran Khan was able to make an almost impossible come back in the tournament and went all the way through to winning the World Cup. The next major achievement for the Pakistan Cricket team has been in the shorter version of the game T20 cricket. After losing a close final to India in the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007, Pakistan cricket team led by star batsman Younis Khan was able to win the second edition of the tournament in 2009 in which they beat Srilanka in a one sided final.
There is no doubt that the Pakistan cricket team has always comprised of a bunch of special and talented players but at the same time they have let themselves down in front of their nation because of matters such as spot fixing. It is time that the team realizes the importance the game holds for the country and try to maintain the integrity of the game and the nation’s pride.
